Beatles RockBand Kit or DJ Hero Kit: The Choice Is Yours

techdays.ca 2009

Mark Artega and I have recently been touring Canada privileged with the opportunity to speak at TechDays.ca.  Our session, entitled “Taking Your Application on the Road with Windows Mobile® Software”, showcases how to use the familiar Microsoft .NET Framework and .NET-based programming languages like Visual C#® development tool to develop and capitalize on budding opportunity that is Windows Mobile 6.5.  Mark’s presentation on such topics as the Gesture APIs and the Widget Framework and how to use them appropriately are not to be missed.

Our winner at TechDays #YVR Event. His application is a widget that tracks currencies and notifies you when pricing is to your liking.

At the end of each session, Mark and I have been encouraging developers to take center stage and provide a 5 minute overview of the application they are currently working on for the Windows Mobile platform.  We’ve had two winners thus far (my personal favourite thus far has been development of a fishing social media app at TechDays YYZ) who walked away with a RockBand Beatles Kit (Drum, Guitar & Mic).

Since this session is for you, the Developers, and the fact DJ Hero was just released today, I wanted to offer a choice.

TechDays 2009 YHZ WinMo Prize: RockBand Beatles or DJ Hero(polls)

So will it be the classic rock of the Beatles or the Hip-Hop/Rock sounds of DJ Hero?  You have until Sunday November 1st to decide.
