Secret Labs, who also created the Netduino kit, is building a smart watch which will be the first to support Windows Phone as well as Android and iOS. The planned smart watch is promised to have a long battery life and a great developer environment via the Microsoft’s .Net Micro Framework.
The smart watch’s connection to Windows Phone will be made available using Bluetooth which includes the hands free profile, the Audio/Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP) and Bluetooth Serial Port. Testing is currently being conducted on a Nokia Lumia 920.
Current kickstarter efforts still have another 29 days of allotted time to run. Secret Labs plans to use the additional funds to hire additional staff to quicken the development process.
